About the Role Location: Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working) A career that will deliver change. Together, we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero. Are you ready to lead the design and delivery of some of the most complex and critical infrastructure in the UK’s nuclear energy landscape? We’re looking for a dynamic Building Manager to oversee the safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance of a suite of buildings and systems at Hinkley Point C. If you thrive in high-stakes environments and enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines, this could be your next big move. The Opportunity EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams. As part of Edvance—a joint venture between EDF and Framatome—EPR-E plays a pivotal role in the UK’s nuclear future. You’ll be joining a team responsible for the design and construction of NI and CI/BOP buildings for both Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of nuclear energy through cutting-edge engineering and collaborative innovation. What You’ll Be Doing As ITBB Building Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of a suite of buildings—both N3 and Common Raft—within the Integrated Team Bristol (ITB). You’ll be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met across all phases of design and engineering. This is a delivery-focused role, requiring strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. You’ll act as the architect of your product, integrating multiple disciplines and managing interfaces to ensure technical and contractual compliance. Your leadership will drive the resolution of technical challenges, approval of deliverables, and progress reporting using project control metrics. You’ll also manage risks, changes, and supplier relationships to ensure successful project outcomes. Reporting to the Head of ITBB, you’ll be accountable for the full lifecycle of your buildings—from concept to completion. Your ability to challenge solutions, optimise costs, and maintain high standards will be key to delivering a product that meets client expectations and contributes to the success of the wider HPC project. Who You Are You’re a confident and experienced leader with a track record of managing large teams in complex environments. Your communication and negotiation skills are second to none, and you know how to build strong, collaborative relationships across diverse teams. You’re delivery-focused, with a sharp eye for quality and a commitment to safety. You bring robust project management expertise and thrive in roles that require strategic thinking and operational execution. A working level of French would be a bonus. Ideally, you’ll also have deep knowledge of EPR design and engineering processes, but above all, you’re someone who’s ready to make a meaningful impact.
