Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
£36K salary
Annual bonus
Monday to Friday - 2pm -10pm
Role Overview:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in all aspects of the manufacturing process. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a focus on quality and efficiency.
This role is due to expansion of the business - the company are currently emplying in several areas to keep up with demand from soaring demand in their products. The business will be offering security, progression and a unique product to work with.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:

Manage and lead the Manufacturing Team effectively.
*
Ensure products are produced on time, to plan, and meet quality standards.
*
Support day-to-day operations and take ownership of the department, including hygiene, maintenance, and production runs.
*
Work with the New Product Development team to identify and resolve product issues.
*
Conduct daily team briefings, assign work, communicate targets, and recognise achievements.
*
Monitor compliance with production, quality, health, and safety standards.
*
Implement lean practices to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
*
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all manufacturing documentation.
*
Manage resource allocation and workstation assignments, considering absences and breaks.
Training & Development:
*
Onboard and train new hires, including assigning trained buddies and monitoring training quality.
*
Maintain accurate training records and skills matrices.
*
Ensure employees operate only on machines they are trained on.
*
Deliver on-the-job training and short take training as required.
Leadership & Management:
*
Monitor performance and attendance, coaching underperformance and using improvement plans when necessary.
*
Promote high employee engagement and motivation.
*
Organise tasks and set team goals to achieve departmental targets.
*
Conduct reviews, appraisals, and performance tracking.
*
Develop interdepartmental relationships to ensure best practices are followed.
Planning & Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with planning teams to ensure achievable production schedules.
*
Conduct skills gap analyse to inform training and internal progression.
*
Champion new processes and improvements.
*
Monitor staffing and production daily, optimising resource utilisation.
*
Provide comprehensive shift handovers and recommend process improvements.
