Our client, an international manufacturer near Glasgow, is recruiting an HSE Coordinator for its state-of-the-art production facility. This is a permanent role.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8:20 – 16:20 Friday 8:20 – 15:20
Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Work closely with the QHSE Manager in maintaining all accreditations: ISO9001, 14001, 45001 & BRC
* Guide and advise managers, supervisors and employees on all issues pertaining to health & safety.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements and company policies.
* Risk Assessment: Assist teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing controls to manage and reduce risks.
* To establish safe operational procedures which Identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
* Incident Management: Record, report, and investigate incidents and near misses.
* Training & Coaching: Provide HSE training sessions and educate the workforce on safety expectations and lessons learned from previous incidents.
* Audits & Inspections: Perform safety audits and inspections to measure the level of safety culture and compliance.
* Environmental Management: Ensure waste segregation and measure required
* Contractor Management: Manage contractors and consultants in all aspects of health and safety.
Qualifications:
* Qualifications / Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant HSE certifications.
* Experience: proven experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG environment.
