SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Accrington)
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Accrington. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Work with small groups of children, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.
Support the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.
Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.

A patient, nurturing, and proactive individual.
Experience supporting children with SEN, behavioural needs, or additional learning needs is desirable.
Individuals with a residential care, support work, or youth work background are strongly encouraged to apply.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
