We require a skilled and motivated CNC Setter to join our Machine Shop Team, based at our site in Abercynon South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC machines (including lathes and/ or milling machines).
* Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
* Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
* Perform quality checks and first off inspections to ensure product conformance.
* Optimise machine settings for efficiency and accuracy.
* Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a CNC setter in a precision engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of machining processes and tool selection.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Proven experience programming with Fanuc and Num controls; experience with Mazatrol is highly desirable.
* Good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
