Location: Selkirk, Scottish Borders
Contract: Fixed term for 4 years of apprenticeship, with the goal of a permanent position upon completion
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Overview
SBHA is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Electrician Apprentice based in the Scottish Borders. The role involves a four-year trade apprenticeship with practical on-site training and college-based theory, leading to SVQ Level 3, SCQF Level 7 qualification. Successful completion offers excellent prospects for permanent employment.
Requirements
* No prior experience necessary; interest in customer-focused trade work essential.
* Good communication skills and adaptable attitude.
* Start date: July/August 2025.
* Must submit CV and Supporting Statement demonstrating full employment history, qualifications, and how you meet the essential criteria.
* Must pass SECTT Aptitude Test.
* Must have a full, clean UK driving licence by the end of the apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
* Perform electrical work related to repair and maintenance of properties.
* Attend college courses as scheduled, with no leave during term time.
* Follow work instructions accurately and efficiently.
* Collaborate with other trades on projects.
* Follow health and safety guidelines.
* Engage in training and personal development to maintain and update skills.
Candidate Profile
* Passionate about a career as an electrician.
* Educational background including English and Maths at National 5 level (SCQF level 5).
* Effective communication skills.
* Committed to completing the apprenticeship and gaining qualifications.
