Summary
We are currently recruiting for experience support workers to join our Pottery House service based in Stoke -on -Trent. You will be providing 1-2-1 support to residents with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities.
Each day will be different and rewarding supporting residents with daily challenges, helping them to new life skills and independence.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily support to residents in overcoming challenges and acquiring new life skills.
* Engage residents in day-to-day activities both within the home and the community.
* Support residents in achieving their personal goals and developing new skills.
* Promote a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
* Monitor and record the progress of individuals, ensuring all care plans are followed.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Requirements

* Experience of working within health and social care environment
* Caring and highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support
* Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to residents needs
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to use a computer - basic IT skills.
