ADVICE RISK CONSULTANT
Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience
Permanent Position – 2 roles available
Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – 2 days in the office per week

Your role:
1. To provide an efficient and professional Advice Assurance service in accordance with the agreed risk-based methodology.
2. You will mitigate advice risk by working with fully competent Specialist Financial Advisers (SFAs) to assess and give feedback on the quality of their advice and the documentation held within the records.
3. You will also support new SFAs to coach and mentor improvements in their advice quality, and occasionally supporting SFAs in providing more complex and higher risk financial advice.
What you’ll be doing:
4. Assessing advice given by SFAs, ensuring advice is in line with guidance & regulation
5. Supporting new SFAs in improving their advice quality
6. Providing accurate and consistent written and verbal feedback to Financial Advisers
7. To offer SFAs focussed support on checking-based queries to help them prepare their advice and resolve any outstanding issues on their cases.
We’re looking for:
8. Demonstrable Financial Services Advice Assurance experience
9. Ideally qualified or working towards Diploma in Financial Planning (DipFA level 4) or equivalent
10. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory framework of the UK financial services industry
11. Knowledge of a wide range of financial services products and services including pensions, investments, protection and inheritance tax planning
12. Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills
