Protocol Education is seeking reliable, proactive, and practical Caretakers to support schools across Redbridge on a short-term, daily supply basis.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working hands-on and take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-organised school environments. Every day brings varied tasks, all contributing to the smooth running and safety of the school for staff and students alike.
What you’ll be doing:
* Opening and securing school premises at the start and end of the day
* Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
* Maintaining cleanliness and safety of school buildings and grounds
* Conducting routine health and safety checks
* Setting up classrooms, halls, and areas for lessons, activities, and events
* Monitoring site security and reporting any concerns promptly
You’ll need:
* Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or in maintenance (preferred)
* Strong practical skills and proactive problem-solving ability
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
