SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER - MEMORY The Rol e: The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in discovering quality products, testing them, negotiating on price, deciding order quantities based on forecasts and stock levels, working with marketing teams to promote the product, and sales teams to sell it. You will define and expand the range, and work with Suppliers, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Sales teams to bring the product to market. Department: Product Management Reporting to: Director of Memory Duration: Permanent Location: NW10 0UF – near Neasden Station and on-site parking available Salary: Highly Competitive Start Date: ASAP Main Job Responsibili ties: This role offers the opportunity to manage Solid State Drive (SSD) and enterprise server product portfolios Collaborate with the Sales Team to work with value added resellers, data centres, and other enterprise customers Utilise tools to be proactive in the analysis of order and sales data to understand what is / isn’t selling, what is in short supply, and ensuring that correct stock levels are maintained Continuously monitor product costs and actively negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms possible Seek out new opportunities and platforms to sell products and oversee product data feeds to ensure they’re correct and competitive Work with and visit suppliers to develop an understanding of new products, new technologies, and current trends in the memory market Seek out new suppliers, and conduct analysis of their competitive advantages and quality management Liaise with our customer service, sales and technical teams to understand and resolve quality issues Monitor and develop strategies to respond to market competition Set price level and lead-time guidance for the sales team, alongside management Train the sales and marketing teams on products, key selling points, product positioning and providing technical support to customers Establish go-to-market strategy and lead the product launch process Work with the sales team, and use product sales data to develop sales forecasts Work with and build relationships with vendors to help develop Product Road Maps and introduce innovative and first-to-market products Monitor shipments of products and lead-times to ensure any delays are communicated to management and sales teams as soon as pos sible Requirem ents: At least 5 years’ experience of working with storage solution products, whether SSD or enterprise server / data centre solution products, with a background in distributing, reselling or specifying enterprise SSD products, ideally gained within the Enterprise, Gaming, PC, Industrial and/or Encrypted storage solutions spheres Strong commercial understanding and knowledge of end user requirements in the delivery of new generation technologies into data centres, enterprise SSD and server markets Excellent knowledge of memory products, current trends and developments, as well as memory market dynamics Experience of working with digital and e-commerce teams to support marketing and sales of products Experience of inventory planning and demand / sales forecasting is essential Must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to buy, negotiate and set pricing Enjoys taking on responsibility, shows strong initiative, and isn’t afraid of challenging the status quo to bring new ideas
