Job Description
Brigade Electronics, a global market leader in reversing safety and all-round visibility for commercial vehicles, is seeking an experienced Product Development & Applications Technician to support the research, testing, and application of innovative vehicle safety products across our global markets.
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will play a key role in bridging product design and real-world application ensuring our technologies are practical, efficient, and deliver outstanding performance for installers and end-users.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct product and system testing, evaluation, verification, and validation
* Provide vehicle-related technical expertise to support product development and resolve integration issues
* Lead and support vehicle installations, field trials, and prototype builds
* Perform benchmarking, tear-down analysis, and troubleshooting of new and existing technologies
* Support engineering documentation, updates, and technical training activities
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve installation efficiency and system performance
About You
* Experienced and hands-on with vehicle electrical systems (HGV experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of analogue/digital circuits and vehicle interfaces
* Skilled in fault finding, installation, and electrical diagnostics
* Proficient with Microsoft 365 and technical reporting
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines
* Excellent communication skills with a practical, resourceful mindset
