The Role: Health & Safety Assistant As a Health & Safety Assistant, you will support the H&S Manager and site teams, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all projects. Key Responsibilities: ·Site Safety Inspections – Conduct regular site visits, monitoring compliance with health & safety regulations. ·Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) – Assist in preparing and reviewing RAMS, ensuring site teams adhere to best practices. ·Incident Reporting & Investigation – Support the reporting, investigation, and resolution of accidents and near misses. ·Toolbox Talks & Training – Deliver health & safety briefings, inductions, and toolbox talks to site personnel. ·Compliance & Auditing – Ensure HSE legislation and company policies are being followed across all projects. ·Support & Advice – Provide guidance to site managers and operatives, helping to maintain a safe working environment. What We’re Looking For: ·SMSTS & CSCS Card – Essential for this role. ·NEBOSH Qualification ·Previous experience in a health & safety role within construction, groundworks, or civil engineering. ·Full UK Driving Licence – Required, as you will be travelling between sites. ·IT literate is a must ·Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage site teams and promote safety best practices.
