JOBPURPOSE
* Be the first point of contact for customers by phone, email, and in person offering fast, friendly, and knowledgeable support, responding to queries on orders, deliveries, pricing, etc.
* Accurately log and process customer orders, smoothly coordinating with other departments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and support our field staff to enhance client satisfaction.
* Deliver cross functional role with Finance, when required.
* Provide cover in the weighbridge when needed (training will be provided).
KEY DUTIES (A Flavour)
* Serve as the primary contact for customer queries via phone and email, providing timely updates, expert product advice, and order information.
* Accurately log and process customer orders using our CRM system, ensuring prompt and error-free dispatch.
* Collaborate with production and dispatch teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
* Foster strong relationships with customers and colleagues through regular, professional communication.
* Support the external sales team with administrative tasks, account management, and order capture.
* Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell based on customer needs.
* Stay informed on industry developments to provide knowledgeable support.
* Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
* Provide a cross functional role with finance, when required, including raising invoices and maintaining customer pricing files, etc.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate how they meet points 1-9 on their CV
* A minimum of 2 years experience working in customer-facing role (ideally in FMCG or manufacturing/production)
* Have 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C, (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
* Demonstrate strong customer service and sales abilities with a professional attitude.
* Mustexcelinprofessionalcommunicationacrosswritten,spoken,andactivelisteningformats.
* Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills.
* 6.High attention to detail with precise and accurate data handling.
* Proficient in MS Office, IT systems and databases (ideally experience with order processing software).
* Friendly and approachable, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
* Must currently have eligibility to work in the UK.
