This part‑time, permanent Executive Assistant role will provide high‑quality administrative and governance support to the Board of Trustees, Chair and senior leaders at DEBRA, a national charity supporting individuals affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa. The role is based at the Head Office in Bracknell, Berkshire with hybrid working arrangements.
Working 21 hours per week over 3 days, the position offers a salary of £24,000‑£27,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide end‑to‑end administrative and governance support to the Board of Trustees, Chair and board committees (Finance, Audit & Risk, Nominations & Governance).
* Coordinate the annual cycle of Board and committee meetings, working closely with the Chair and senior leaders to ensure effective planning and forward agendas.
* Draft, quality‑check and manage the circulation of Board and committee papers, ensuring accuracy, clarity, version control and timely distribution.
* Prepare high‑quality agendas, minutes and action logs, ensuring decisions are clearly captured and follow‑up actions are tracked through to completion.
* Provide confidential, trusted EA support to the Chair, the CEO and SLT (as required), including diary management, preparation for meetings and briefings, and proactive follow‑up.
Person Specification
* Significant experience in a senior Executive Assistant, Board Secretary, or Governance support role, ideally within a charity, public body or regulated organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to use AI‑enabled tools to support the accurate and efficient preparation of meeting minutes and written documentation.
* Demonstrable experience supporting boards or committees at executive or trustee level.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage complex diaries, competing priorities and long‑term planning.
* Proven ability to draft clear, accurate and professional minutes and formal documentation.
* Ability to use AI in the formulation of minutes.
* High level of discretion and integrity, with demonstrable experience handling confidential and sensitive matters.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to liaise effectively with Trustees, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
* Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
