Facilities Assistant with Vehicle and Compliance Responsibilities
Join our team at Oak Tree School in Truro as a Facilities Assistant, where you will be responsible for maintaining the school's buildings, grounds, and facilities, including vehicle management and compliance tasks. This is a permanent role offering a 4-day workweek trial, promoting work/life balance.
Key Details:
* Location: Oak Tree School, Truro, TR4 9NH
* Salary: £27,625 per annum
* Hours: 42.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 6:30am-4:30pm (flexible)
* Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the school site is secure and well maintained.
2. Manage external contractors and oversee maintenance tasks.
3. Carry out minor repairs and improvements.
4. Manage waste disposal and ensure systems like water, lighting, and heating are operational.
5. Complete health and safety checks and maintain records.
6. Maintain equipment and liaise with suppliers.
7. Assist in planning maintenance projects.
Vehicle Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily and monthly vehicle checks and maintenance planning.
2. Maintain school vehicles and ensure compliance checks (TAX, MOT, Insurance).
3. Coordinate with vehicle hire companies and organize vehicle schedules.
