We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to spearhead our Operations and Production Support team. In this role, you will be the primary steward of our mission-critical IBM middleware and reporting ecosystem as we transition and scale within the AWS Cloud environment.
You will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise middleware and modern cloud operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability for our core business applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership: Lead the day-to-day operations and production support for IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM MQ, and SAP Crystal Reports.
2. Cloud Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of these stacks within AWS on GCC
3. Incident & Problem Management: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex production outages. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement long-term preventative measures.
4. Automation & DevOps: Drive the "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) mindset. Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation to automate manual middleware tasks and patching.
5. Reporting Infrastructure: Maintain and optimize the Crystal Reports server environment, ensuring seamless data connectivity and report delivery schedules.
6. Performance Tuning: Monitor system health using CloudWatch or AppDynamics/Dynatrace to proactively tune WAS and MQ parameters for optimal throughput.
7. Mentorship: Guide a team of support engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement."
Requirements
1. Strong hands-on experience with: IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ (queue managers, clustering, security), and SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise (BI Platform, CMS, WebI, scheduling)
2. Proven experience migrating middleware and BI platforms from on-premise to cloud.
3. Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (networking, IAM, load balancers, storage).
4. Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
5. Knowledge of security concepts: TLS, certificates, keystores, IAM, network segmentation.
6. Experience with AWS and relevant to middleware workloads.
