Role Purpose
The Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of the office within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role supports engineering, operations, and leadership teams by managing administrative processes, facilities, supplier coordination, and internal systems, enabling engineers to focus on technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Facilities Management

Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a safe, organised, and professional working environment

Manage office layout, equipment, and space planning in line with engineering team needs
*
Act as the primary point of contact for service providers
Administrative & Operational Support
*
Provide high-quality administrative support to engineering and leadership teams
*
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems (digital and physical)
*
Support internal processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and staff inductions
Engineering Environment Support
*
Understand and support workflows within an engineering or technical setting
*
Coordinate documentation control for engineering records, procedures, and certifications
*
Support audit preparation (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, health & safety audits)

Assist with procurement administration for engineering consumables and services
Supplier & Procurement Coordination
*
Manage office-related purchasing and supplier relationships
*
Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage invoices in line with company procedures
*
Support cost control and budget tracking for office and facilities spend
Health, Safety & Compliance
*
Support implementation and upkeep of H&S policies in an engineering environment
