We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team on an 18 month temporary contract to cover maternity leave. The main purpose of this role is to assist in bringing trial balance to the management accountant together with assisting with audit and supporting non-financial colleagues.

Responsibilities
* Reconciling & posting cashbooks and bank
* Nominal Coding and processing purchase invoices for multiple companies
* Reconciling supplier statements
* GRNs and checking OS PO's & GRNs
* Raising production orders
* Reviewing, monitoring & keeping up to date rates & council tax
* Reviewing, liaising, invoicing & calculating WIP for projects
* Analysing, liaising & reporting on overhead for multiple companies
* Maintaining part exchange properties portfolio
* Calculating & prepaying rents receivables
* Reconciling balance sheet control accounts
* Monthly prepayments / accruals
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Identifying, setting and improving controls and procedures
* Assisting in preparing yearend audit pack
* Processing and reconciling credit card transaction
* Compliance with GDPR at all times
* AND such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose, and the title of the post
Requirement's for the role include:
* Passed A levels or equivalent
* Experience in an Accountancy/ Financial role
* Self-motivated, can work independently, as well as team player
* Computer-literate with strong excel skills
* Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability
* Experience of using Dynamic NAV would be beneficial
