Introduction

Indaver is a full waste management specialist that offers a comprehensive in‑house solution for your waste and recycling requirements. This, combined with bespoke fine chemicals manufacturing provides a holistic end‑to‑end provision for hazardous waste, recycling and molecular development.

At its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, UK (with immediate central links to the M6), Indaver operates a solvent recycling facility; accepting hazardous and non‑hazardous (waste) solvents, providing bespoke recovery solutions, Indaver is able to support the customers with lab analysis, pilot scale trials, and recycling at commercial scale.


Role & Responsibilities

* Lead implementation of CDM requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Support the Client and Principal Designer in fulfilling statutory CDM duties.
* Develop, maintain, and review the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and ensure full site compliance.
* Oversee pre‑construction information, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
* Manage the Health and Safety File and ensure appropriate documentation handover at project completion.
* Act as Principal Contractor on behalf of Indaver for designated projects.
* Coordinate and control all site construction activities to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
* Chair daily coordination meetings and ensure effective communication between contractors, designers, and the client team.
* Monitor site performance, including HSEQ standards, permits, and contractor competence.
* Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and behavioural safety initiatives.
* Support project planning, scheduling, and logistics for multi‑contractor environments.
* Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Ensure all projects comply with company policies, procedures, and Integrated Management System requirements.


Experience and Qualifications Required

* Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum); NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Health & Safety or equivalent desirable.
* Demonstrable experience acting as Principal Contractor or CDM Manager on large industrial, energy, or process plant projects.
* Strong working knowledge of CDM, HSE guidance, and relevant UK legislation.
* Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and complex construction interfaces.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
