About the role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you’ll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting service users through their recovery with person-centred care and clinical excellence
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
* Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences
* Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress
* Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles)
* Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes
* Ensuring accessible, accurate communication with service users and families regarding care
* Taking charge of the ward where appropriate, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
* Maintaining high standards in clinical documentation and communication within the team
* Working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
About You
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN
* Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a mental health setting
* Confident communicator with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
* Flexible, innovative, and motivated by quality improvement
* IT literate and adept at using electronic care systems
* Knowledge of NMC standards and commitment to best practice
