Controls Engineer
Bishops Cleeve, Gloucestershire
£48, - £50, + Car Allowance + Bonus
Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Program PLCs, touch screens, networks, and SCADA systems
2. Liaise with internal panel builders to ensure systems meet design specifications
3. Perform on-site installation and commissioning
4. Service and troubleshoot existing systems
5. Manage projects from conception to completion
6. Train and mentor team members in control systems
7. Ensure high standards and timely delivery of all projects
Controls Engineer Required Experience:
8. Industrial control systems
9. PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Siemens)
10. Industrial networks (EtherNET, ProfiNET)
11. Manufacturing industries/processes
12. Customer and supplier liaison
Key Requirements:
13. Attention to detail
14. Strong problem-solving skills
15. Inquisitive mind
16. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
17. Desire for continuous learning and improvement
18. Self-starter with maturity for minimal supervision
19. Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
20. Willingness to travel (approx. 50%), including abroad
21. Full UK driving licence (with 3 penalty points or less)
22. Presentable and articulate
23. Ability to demonstrate work capability during interviews
24. Eligible to work in the UK
