What You’ll Be Doing
As a Field Technician/Engineer, you’ll be the friendly face of Careium in the Cumbria (Kendal/Windermere and The Lakes) area, helping vulnerable and elderly clients stay safe and connected. Your role will include:
* Installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing telecare and assistive technology equipment in clients’ homes.
* Conducting assessments to match clients with the right digital solutions for their needs.
* Delivering hands-on demonstrations and training to ensure clients feel confident using their equipment.
* Performing service calls, fault finding, and collecting equipment no longer in use.
* Keeping accurate records and providing excellent aftercare and support.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who’s technically skilled and genuinely cares about making a difference. Ideally, you’ll bring:
* Experience in telecare, electrical installations, telecommunications, or engineering.
* Familiarity with residential telephone systems and fault-finding techniques.
* Strong customer service skills with empathy and patience.
* Good IT and organisational skills, especially with Microsoft tools and stock management.
* Confidence using hand and power tools, and working safely with ladders (up to 3.6m).
* A full, valid UK driver’s license.
