As a Staff Software Engineer at Visa, you will:
* Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
* Influence strategy by helping define and build new product features and system architecture.
* Champion Agile methodologies to drive change and continuous improvement.
* Create applications at a massive scale used by millions worldwide, utilizing your design and coding skills.
* Lead architecture decisions, participate in design reviews, code reviews, and implementation activities.
* Build elegant, maintainable systems with minimal complexity.
* Promote engineering best practices across the development lifecycle and advocate for continuous improvement.
* Support Test-Driven Development and Continuous Deployment practices.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and the office, with an expectation of working from the office 3 days a week.
* Possess a Bachelor's Degree, or an advanced degree such as a Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD.
* Have strong computer science credentials and a track record of building quality services.
* Be passionate about technology and solving complex business problems at scale.
* Have proven experience in a technical leadership role, delivering innovative and simple solutions.
* Be a self-starter with a relentless drive for change, raising the technical bar, and delivering results.
* Have expert knowledge of professional software engineering practices and full software development lifecycle.
* Be comfortable challenging norms and exploring new technologies.
* Enjoy prototyping and experimenting with new applications, as well as making solutions production-ready.
