Role Overview:
As a Works Manager within the Water Division at OCU Group, you will lead the delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant site operations.
You will manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders to meet project goals aligned with client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead site teams on wastewater projects including pipe laying, reinforced concrete structures, roads, pavements, and asset upgrades.
* Ensure strict compliance with HSEQ standards.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors for timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Monitor progress, manage resources, and resolve site issues.
* Maintain accurate documentation (RAMS, progress reports, etc.).
* Liaise with clients, authorities, and utility providers.
* Conduct site inspections and audits.
* Support training and development of site staff.
* Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Works Manager or Site Manager in water/utilities.
* Strong knowledge of water infrastructure construction and regulations.
* Essential certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
* Familiarity with WIRS, NRSWA, and relevant standards.
* NVQ Level 3+ in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (desirable).
