Are you passionate about supporting the emotional and mental well-being of young people? A welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Reading is seeking a compassionate and resilient Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or anyone with a strong interest in mental health and child development.
Responsibilities
* Work with children aged 5 to 11, many facing Autism, ADHD, trauma, and behavioural challenges
* Support emotional regulation, learning, and overall well-being
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
* Assist with behaviour management and provide support during lessons and throughout the school day
* Contribute to the implementation of individual support plans
Qualifications
* Ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology, or anyone with a strong interest in mental health and child development
* Experience: Preferred but not essential

* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm
