Key Accountabilities
* Strategic & Operating Model Leadership
* Define, own, and evolve the Build & Civils operating model, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
* Establish and embed national standards for site readiness, gating, build execution, and handover.
* Translate business strategy into practical delivery frameworks that improve certainty, utilisation, and outcomes.
* Act as a senior partner of how Clarke Telecom delivers work, ensuring scalability, sustainability and accountability and consistency across regions and customers.
* Drive understanding and alignment between operating model and long‑term growth objectives
* Build, Civils & Site Delivery Performance
* Hold ultimate accountability for end‑to‑end build and civils performance across all regions.
* Ensure effective alignment between Build Management, Civils, PMO, Projects, Design, Commercial, and HSEQ departments
* Drive predictable delivery outcomes through early engagement, structured governance, and clear ownership of risk.
* Ensure resources are planned, deployed, and utilised effectively across internal teams and supply partners.
* Ensure a framework for measurable performance is developed as a cross‑company strategy that creates relevant access to Operational Financial Data.
* Commercial, Margin & Risk Leadership
* Lead initiatives that improve gross margin, utilisation, and cost control across build activities.
* Embed commercial awareness and accountability into build and civils leadership.
* Sponsor and govern reviews of underperforming sites, ensuring root‑cause learning is embedded into standards and process.
* Reduce avoidable rework, defects, and late‑stage cancellations through improved planning and control.
* Transformation & Continuous Improvement
* Own the Build & Civils transformation strategies, including governance, process, data, and behavioural change.
* Lead the design and adoption of improved ways of working, ensuring they move from concept to embedded practice.
* Ensure build‑related data, reporting, and insight are available, accurate, trusted, and decision‑enabling.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and shared accountability.
* Support / align / create cross‑departmental strategies that enhance company objectives to improve customer service and optimise site delivery
* Initiate change to improve Civils Department Utilisation and site instructions across all projects.
* Initiate integrated decision making and collaborations between Projects / Commercial and Design.
* Leadership, Culture & Capability
* Provide strong, visible leadership to senior managers and delivery teams.
* Set clear expectations, accountability, and standards of behaviour.
* Develop current and future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and structured development.
* Act as a role model for Clarke Telecom’s values, leadership behaviours, and professional standards.
* Foster demonstrable leadership capability growth within Civils.
* Stakeholder, Client & Board Engagement
* Build strong, collaborative relationships across internal functions and leadership teams.
* Engage confidently with clients, partners, and suppliers where required.
* Present clear, structured insight, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and board forums.
* Act as a trusted advisor on build, civils, and delivery performance.
* Influence strategic decisions through credible insights and recommendations.
