This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business who are committed to meeting the ever changing demands throughout their industry.
This role is to manage the process of purchasing goods, materials, tools and equipment to ensure operational needs are met whilst considering price, quality and delivery constraints.
1. Manage and develop a supplier database, identifying new suppliers and products while monitoring performance.
2. Work closely with estimators during tenders to issue enquiries and analyse quotations.
3. Liaise with suppliers to obtain required technical and compliance information for tender submissions.
4. Support contract delivery by preparing procurement schedules, issuing enquiries, analysing returns, negotiating terms, and placing orders.
5. Procure materials, plant, tools, equipment and services in line with cost, quality and programme requirement.
6. Ensure continuity of supply, proactively identifying and communicating risks to the project team.
7. Monitor and report procurement financial performance against budgets and tender allowances.
8. Improve and develop procurement processes.
