The Digital Systems Team based within the Place, Infrastructure, and Economic Development Directorate plays a key role in supporting and delivering digital projects, systems, and business change across the department, which includes a wide range of teams such as Highways, Recycling and Waste Management, Grounds & Street Cleansing and Parking.
About the job
We are looking for a committed individual with excellent IT skills to support a range of digital projects and system implementations across the Directorate. The role is a two‑year fixed‑term contract and will primarily support the implementation of a new digital solution for our Waste Services Team.
The successful candidate will take a lead role on various aspects of project implementation and be responsible for tasks such as system build and development, creating complex reports for senior management, and providing training to frontline teams.
What we are looking for from you
The successful candidate will have excellent IT‑related skills and experience of carrying out system development.
They will have an in‑depth knowledge of the latest trends in digital technologies.
They will be able to effectively interpret complex information at all levels, using logical thinking and problem solving.
They will possess excellent communication skills and adapt well to changing situations while delivering high‑quality services.
