The Boyce Group is looking for a hard working and reliable self-employed semi skilled labourer to join our team in Newport for 1 month. We want someone with good experience, a strong work ethic and the right attitude to get the job done safely and efficiently. Must have access to their own tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised site, including regular clearing of waste, materials, and hazards in line with H&S standards.
* Carry out sanding, oiling and decorating
* Load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment across site using safe manual handling techniques.
* Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials as directed by supervisors or site management.
* Identify and report defects, risks, or material shortages promptly.
* Follow site drawings/instructions and work with minimal supervision when required.
* Adhere strictly to all site health & safety procedures, RAMS, and company policies.
What We're Looking For
* Solid on-site experience in a labouring or semi-skilled role (essential).
* Own tools suitable for general site and trade-support tasks.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
* Good understanding of construction methods, site safety, and manual handling practices.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic.
* Physically fit and comfortable with demanding manual work.
* CSCS card (required/preferred).
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
What We Offer
* Self-employed (CIS) role with competitive pay: £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
* Full-time position (approx. 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
