Renewables Advisory Capability Lead (UK wide)
Location: Jacobs Wokingham, England, United Kingdom
Overview: Within our Energy Advisory team we advise clients on the challenges and opportunities regarding decarbonisation/net zero issues, including decentralised, decarbonised generation and management, renewables and innovation in technologies and energy sources. This role provides leadership and participation in project teams delivering our services and supports the growth and development of the team, at the forefront of dynamic change in clean energy generation, management and distribution.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy advisory projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirements, and provide technical guidance and expertise on renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, hydro, and energy storage systems.
* Collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels (directors, internal networks, clients, regulators, partners, etc.).
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the growth of the Renewable Advisory capability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on energy (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent process-related degree).
* Strong experience in the energy field (consultancy / industrial / commercial / utilities).
* Experienced project management skills, including ability to develop clear work programmes and communicate requirements to other team members.
* Knowledge of current and anticipated environmental, carbon and energy policy and legislation and how this can apply to organisations and projects.
* Understanding of the design, installation, and operation of renewable energy systems and the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.
