Quality Engineer – EC&I is a career opportunity within BakerHicks, focused on QA/QC in EC&I for projects in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings. The role supports project teams by embedding quality into plans and by monitoring, surveilling, and compiling Quality Dossiers to enable successful package handover and completion.
The Quality Engineer – EC&I ensures that installed systems meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong QA/QC background in EC&I, with relevant experience in pharma or biotech sectors.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement project-specific quality plans for EC&I works.
* Review and coordinate contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
* Conduct inspections and tests including FATs, SATs, pre-commissioning checks, and instrument calibration.
* Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and drive corrective actions.
* Maintain quality records and collaborate with project teams and vendors.
* Provide technical guidance and training on quality best practices.
* Review and approve vendor documentation and certificates.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
* Experience in QA/QC within EC&I, ideally in pharma or biotech sectors.
* IRCA Internal Auditor.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and construction QA/QC processes.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
* Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations 2391.
* SC Clearance or ability to attain it.
