Job overview
The post holder will be expected to play a key role and to work autonomously in the operational and clinical leadership of image verification, delivery and all relevant processes within the Radiotherapy Department, including acting as the IR(ME)R entitled practitioner to authorise additional radiation exposures where justified (including treatment image verification and CT planning scans).
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for managing the image verification pathway for all relevant patients and ensuring adequate training, guidance and leadership for all relevant staff, to include fellow radiographers, students, dosimetrists, clinical scientist and clinical oncologists.

Essential criteria
1. BSC (Hon) Therapy Radiography \ DCR (T). State Registered Additional formal learning in a specialist area to MSc or equivalent level.

2. Other Post Graduate qualifications.
Experience
Essential criteria
3. Extensive experience at senior level. Significant experience of supervision and staff management. Strategic planning of complex activities in Radiotherapy. Manage and implement change

Knowledge
Essential criteria
5. Wide Knowledge of Radiotherapy Principles and techniques. Highly Specialised and detailed knowledge of Cone Beam,2D,3D and 4D Imaging. Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Governance. Understanding of IR(ME)R regulations. Knowledge and understanding of current radiotherapy issues including national guidelines and trials.

6. Knowledge of Quality Assurance,Ipassport and Audit.
