About the Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum, supporting pupils through their final year of primary education. You will play a vital role in building pupils' confidence, resilience, and independence, while maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and transition to secondary school.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all abilities.
Track, assess, and report on pupil progress effectively.
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion policies at all times.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Confident classroom management and organisational skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
