We have opportunity a compassionate, authentic and motivated person to join our Floating Support service in North-Powys on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be required to delivery tenancy related support to customers around the Newtown, Welshpool and Machynlleth area. It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car, have a full drivers licence, and be happy to transport customers in their car. What is great about the role? Whilst supporting people to access external services with any other needs they may have, such as mental health and/or substance misuse. We strive to ensure that everyone we support receives the very best support to enable and empower them to regain control of their life and to sustain their independence. Joining our Floating Support team will give you the opportunity to learn and grow within the support sector. You will work with talented and experienced people whose passion is to support our customers. No 2 days are the same and it is especially rewarding when you see an individuals development and they move on into their own tenancy. Your day will consist of:
Responsibilities
* Encourage and motivate customers to engage with their community and develop life and social skills
* Provide housing-related support to help customers take on and maintain a tenancy to prevent homelessness
* Offer advice, information and support to customers
* Complete all necessary administrative tasks related to the job, including developing risk assessments, support plans and risk management plans
* Manage a caseload of customers with varying needs and levels of support
* Liaise and work closely with other agencies and professionals to meet customers needs
* Assist customers with potential benefits and help them register with healthcare providers
* Have knowledge of housing related support and benefit systems
* Have good organisation, IT and record keeping skills
* Can work part of a team and on an individual basis
* Deal with difficult situations
* Have good listening skills
Benefits
* Full-time, 37hrs
* The exact salary for these positions is £24,531.00
* Work pattern: Monday to Friday office hours although flexibility is required depending on the needs of the customers
* Base/location: Office is based in Newtown, Powys but you will be expected to deliver support to customers in their own homes around the Newtown, Welsh Pool and Machynlleth area.
