Responsibilities
* Oversee all activities inside the office, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and arranging repairs when needed. This role reports to the Infrastructure and Helpdesk Manager and may involve some project work.
* Regular inspection of facilities across all areas, ensuring cleanliness and taking corrective and preventative actions where necessary.
* Ensure that all areas of the building are safe and fit for purpose.
* Track maintenance of facilities and physical assets, organise and complete preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance.
* Monitor third-party contractor work and ensure it is completed satisfactorily and signed off upon completion.
* Assist with management of office equipment, fixtures/fittings, service contracts, and cleaners.
* Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and manage an inventory of physical assets.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers of bank equipment, IT hardware, and office supplies.
* Support line manager with maintaining a database of contracts and correspondence.
* Respond quickly to emergencies and manage them appropriately.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through regular inspections, risk assessments, and policy enforcement. Coordinate emergency procedures, address hazards, and promote a safety-focused workplace.
Qualifications / Experience
* A relevant degree (e.g., Facilities Management, Engineering, Health and Safety).
* Knowledge/experience of building maintenance.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
* Team player capable of working in a fast-paced, pressured environment.
* Ability to build relationships within the immediate team and wider business.
* Ability to work on your own initiative and meet strict deadlines.
* Problem-solving with an ability to think outside the box.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
