Sales Director (SaaS / Insurance / MGA's) – UK London

Hybrid / London, UK Area

Reporting – MD, UK

Basic Circa £125,000 depending on level and experience, Uncapped OTE and potential for Stock Options.

We are now looking for a Sales Director to accelerate our expansion in the UK insurance market.


Job Summary

As a Sales Director, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle working with a team of BDR’s from initial discovery through to contract close and account growth. You will engage directly with Managing General Agents (MGAs), insurers, and brokers, positioning Azur’s products as mission‑critical solutions for digital transformation.

This is a unique opportunity to join an early sales team, work closely with the founders, and help shape our go‑to‑market approach. You’ll be expected to hit ambitious targets, close new business, and build lasting relationships with senior insurance leaders.

This role reports to the UK Managing Director and is hybrid, requiring semi‑regular office days in London.


Key Responsibilities


New Business Development

* Own and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and close.
* Deliver tailored product demonstrations and presentations to senior decision makers.
* Structure and negotiate commercial terms that drive long‑term value for clients and Azur.
* Support and mentor a team of BDR’s to together achieve new business targets


Account Management & Growth

* Build trusted relationships with MGA, carrier, and broker stakeholders.
* Identify up sell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
* Collaborate with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and expansion.
* Maintain accurate pipeline in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM).
* Deliver reliable revenue forecasting to leadership.
* Track progress against quarterly and annual quotas.
* Partner with marketing to refine campaigns and messaging.
* Provide product feedback from clients to influence roadmap and positioning.
* Represent Azur at industry events, panels, and client workshops.
* Support the BDR teams with their development and knowledge.


Experience & Skills

* Minimum 6+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales, within Insurtech, or enterprise software, across SaaS and services.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas (£500k+ ACV targets desirable).
* Strong consultative selling skills, able to engage C‑suite stakeholders in the insurance market.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable negotiating contracts with senior executives.
* Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and motivated to build in a high‑growth, early‑stage environment.
* Insurance sector knowledge (MGA’s, Lloyd’s, brokers) is a strong advantage.
