Location: Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA Hours: 35 hours per week Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 4:45pm and Friday 8:45am - 4:15pm Salary: £40,804 - £46,991 annual salary Community and Enterprise Resources Support Services require an Administration Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will manage the provision of administrative support to Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services deploying resources to meet service delivery and performance standards. A key part of this post will be to manage and direct the operation of the Roads Stores CPA system including co-ordinating yearend financial processes, monitor Resource Iprocurement activity including Iprocurement holds, and undertake various financial reconciliations. You will also assist with the administration and monitor the use of materials/systems including documenting business processes, developing procedures highlighting and eliminating waste, and deploying resources to meet key priorities and ensure effective service provision. You will be responsible for identifying business change opportunities in order to enhance the delivery of operational services and promote business efficiency. You will be able to demonstrate a problem solving approach, strong organisational skills, a high degree of decision making, excellent communication skills. You will have practical experience of Oracle financials and Iprocurement system. You will also have knowledge of the Council’s policy and procedures in relation to handling staffing issues including maximising attendance, writing and communicating procedures and facilitating meetings and training session.
