We are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Sunderland to recruit an SEMH Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
The school caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs alongside Autism and associated learning difficulties. Staff work collaboratively to provide a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering creative and personalised lessons
* Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with learners
* Implementing behaviour support strategies consistently
* Working alongside wider pastoral and clinical teams
* Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress monitoring
Requirements:
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching within SEN or SEMH settings preferred
* Strong classroom management skills
* Ability to engage hard-to-reach learners
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
