The Property Tax Consultant works with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements for personal property tax. Responsibilities include researching issues, reconciling financial data, working with taxing authorities, and preparing detailed calculations.
Duties and Responsibilities
People:
* Create a positive team experience.
Client:
* Prepare personal property tax returns, filings, and asset reconciliations for clients.
* Ensure timely processing and mailing of returns and remittances.
* Review assessments, handle protests, and manage audits.
* Respond to client inquiries and tax authority requests.
* Review documentation and conduct research.
* Work with raw data to complete calculations.

* Maintain client filing calendars.
* Learn and utilize proprietary software for data management.

Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; Master’s or JD preferred.
* Minimum 6 hours of relevant coursework with GPA requirements.
* Relevant work experience or internships.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Computer Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet research.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid Driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
* Standard indoor setting.
* Occasional long periods at a computer.
* Regular interaction with employees, clients, and vendors.
* Travel up to 10-20% required.
