Job Description
We have a role for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering & Data team, where you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge software solutions that support and enhance the team's work in the Formula One World Championship, helping us achieve our goals and return to the top of the grid.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team of Software, Data, and Platform Engineers, as well as Data Scientists, working to improve all areas of the team, from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track.
The Role
The main responsibilities include executing the software development life cycle (SDLC) over legacy and new projects, adhering to project plans and industry standards, and collaborating with engineering teams to analyze problems and develop solutions.
Senior team members also have important roles in:
* Fostering a Strong Team Culture: Upholding and promoting our positive team culture among peers.
* Mentoring and Training: Providing guidance and training to junior colleagues to support their growth and skill development.
* Product Ownership: Occasionally overseeing specific projects as product owner, ensuring their success.
The Person
If you hold a BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, have proven experience in .NET development, and are passionate about leadership, mentorship, and driving team success, we would love to hear from you!
While most of our codebase is in C#, experience with other languages like Python, C++, Rust, or MATLAB is also valuable. The technologies and expertise we seek include:
* UI: Blazor
* Web services: gRPC, REST
* Relational databases: SQL Server
* Understanding of architecture and design patterns
* Commitment to meeting deadlines
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Additional skills such as advanced knowledge of ETL processes and experience leading teams or projects are advantageous but not required.
