Planning Managers – High Voltage Energy Infrastructure

Scotland (Hybrid) – Isle of Skye, Elgin, or Dundee
A leading consultancy supporting a major UK energy and infrastructure programme is seeking experienced Planning Managers to join their team. This role will be integral to the successful delivery of complex high-voltage energy projects across the UK.
The position sits within a high-profile delivery environment focused on large-scale power and utilities infrastructure, including substations, overhead line systems, and transmission and distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee planning activities across major energy infrastructure programmes
* Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules
* Coordinate planning functions across multidisciplinary project teams
* Provide clear reporting and schedule analysis to support programme performance
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience as a Planning Manager or Lead Planner within infrastructure or energy sectors
* Strong background in high-voltage projects, including substations, overhead lines, or transmission and distribution networks
* Experience leading planning teams or managing planning across large programmes
* Good understanding of NEC contract frameworks
* Background working with contractors, utilities, or engineering consultancies
* Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software
What’s on Offer
* Competitive salary of £90,000 – £120,000 or £600 – £675 per day (Inside IR35)
