The role of Environmental Services Manager is a pivotal role which will lead and direct the Councils' operational activities in relation to environmental management across council owned land relating to Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, and Trees.
Working as part of the Environmental Services Management Team, a key part of the role will be to proactively develop and lead professional, competent and customer focused teams that operate in a continuous improvement culture.
You must be able to demonstrate that you have successfully managed, planned and monitored budgets and successfully worked collaboratively in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
The role will contribute significantly to the Councils’ priorities of providing efficiently run and high-quality services and to ensure our green spaces are well maintained.
Candidates will have at least 5 years management experience at a senior level and of working within a waste management, street scene or related Environmental Service.
You will have a background in successfully managing contracts and service level agreements and have experience of procurement.
