About Global Advisory (GA) Global Advisory is an independent corporate finance advisory business which provides impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges, they face. Our professionals have a deep understanding of financial markets, we advise on a high volume of transactions, and have an unrivalled network of c.1,650 industry and financing specialists on the ground in 61 locations across 48 countries. Role This is a global remit based in London. The candidate will join the Global Advisory Communications team and help deliver marketing and communications campaigns that promote the business globally and support the team’s objectives as outlined in the global communications strategy. The role focuses on analysing Global Advisory and competitor track record data to inform compelling marketing messages and strengthen the effectiveness of external and internal communications. It also includes managing key projects and working closely with stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities Credentials analysis Analysis of data from league table databases and other sources to generate statistics on company performance for use in marketing materials Proactive application of analysis to provide the Marketing team with observations on trends and areas of strong performance, to assist in its planning Analysis of Rothschild & Co’s track record credentials to identify themes and standout transactions Responding to ad hoc requests from bankers for supporting statistics and messages Ensuring that these statistics and messages are available to bankers through the management of databases Relationship holder with external league table databases First point of contact regarding any queries or issues from bankers regarding league table credit Responsible for ensuring that Rothschild & Co is correctly represented in league tables Working with banker teams to resolve issues and challenges related to league tables Management of quarterly league table data generation and formatting for client presentations Working with banker teams to proactively analyse databases to prevent other advisers incorrectly receiving league table credit Management of the credentials process Support the management of the credentials process carried out by outsourced partners to ensure that all credentials made available to bankers are accurate, up-to-date and publicly disclosable Document preparation Assisting the Marketing team with the application of messages and statistics to materials Preparation of other ad hoc documents as required by bankers, investor relations, senior management and other parts of the business Project management Manage the design and implementation of one-off projects Experience, Skills and Competencies Required Strong analytical skills including intermediate Excel Good document presentation skills including intermediate PowerPoint Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage a varied and often pressured workload A self-starter able to take the initiative and work proactively to add value to the team, and work through issues independently when required This role requires the team member to work closely with bankers across all levels Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to colleagues at any level An understanding of and interest in investment banking is desirable Experience in a corporate setting, particularly within financial or professional services, is beneficial but not a requirement Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Appropriate work experience will also be considered Our goal is to have a balanced, inclusive and flexible environment which enables all colleagues to achieve their personal and professional aspirations, and to ensure that Rothschild & Co provides longer term opportunities for talent.
