About The Role:

Working Days:Current Shift Pattern Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday & Sunday

As a Catering Team Leader, you will step in for other colleagues when needed to keep the service running smoothly. You will manage stock control and budgets, making sure everything is in line with statutory legislation and NHS standards. You will also keep your skills up to date to help develop the service. Your job includes ensuring both readymade and in-house cooked food are prepared according to specific recipes and that all catering services comply with relevant legislation. It’s a hands-on role that keeps you engaged and ensures everything runs efficiently!

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Deputise for other departmental colleagues to maintain service function in their absence.
* Responsible for stock control and budgets.
* Working within current statutory legislation, NHS standards policies and procedures at all times.
* Developing service through own maintenance of knowledge and skill
* Ensure purchased readymade food and in house cooked food is cooked to specific recipes.
* To ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation connected with catering services.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

* Must have Right to Work in the UK
* An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
* General education including literacy and numeracy.
* Desirable experience in a similar role or industry.
* An understanding of the importance of hygiene.
* An understanding of the importance of health and safety.
* Use, experience and knowledge of computer technologies.
