About your role
As a BIDBI Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for handling new enquiries and managing existing accounts. Your role will be to build upon and retain relationships on a business-to-business basis. Furthermore, you will be responsible for attracting new business to BIDBI via telephone and email outreach, as well as face-to-face contact at a variety of trade shows and network events.
Your day-to-day
You'll report directly to the Sales Team Manager and be responsible for the relationship management of existing clients. In addition, you will be responsible for building up your own client base and exploring new clients within your industry sectors, as well as:
* Contacting existing accounts and seeking new business.
* Seeking new business by appropriate means in line with the General Data Protection Regulations
* Exploring product type and availability to best suit the customer's needs.
* Working closely with your Sales Account Manager team, Production, Operations, and partner manufacturers to ensure orders are fulfilled in accordance with our KPIs.
Essential Skills required
* Experience working in a Customer Service and Sales-based role.
* Must be comfortable with Hubspot, Outlook, and Excel.
* Passionate and driven to work for an ethical organisation.
* Have excellent organisational skills to manage a large portfolio of accounts, prioritise your workload and manage key accounts.
* Driven to explore new markets.
* Digital marketing experience.
* Commercially astute.
Account Management & Customer Service
* Manage and grow existing accounts, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Respond promptly to enquiries by email or phone within agreed SLAs.
* Provide accurate quotations using the CRM system, calculating competitive pricing using current price guides and freight costs.
* Supply product samples and visuals where required, ensuring clients have everything they need to make informed decisions.
* Manage customer expectations and resolve complaints sufficiently.
* Liaise closely with Production, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment and suitable product recommendations.
Business Development
* Generate new business by researching potential markets, identifying relevant contacts within organisations, and reaching out via phone, email, and social media.
* Explore opportunities for growth by staying aware of seasonal events, festivals, and market trends.
* Follow up on leads and actively manage opportunities to progress them through the sales pipeline.
* Attend trade shows and events, arranging meetings with prospective and existing clients where appropriate.
Performance & Collaboration
* Monitor and assess your own performance against KPIs and sales targets.
* Collaborate with colleagues to manage sector coverage, share insights, and provide cover during planned or unexpected absences.
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to ensure accurate and confident communication with clients.
* Contribute to problem-solving initiatives, helping to improve processes and outcomes for customers.
