About the Role:
A well-regarded secondary school in Sunderland is looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Intervention Tutor to support students who need additional help in achieving their expected progress in mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators who want to focus on targeted support without taking on full classroom responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver focused Maths interventions for small groups of KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to assess student needs and track progress
* Adapt lessons and teaching strategies based on pupil data and individual learning styles
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject
* Has experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a teaching or tutoring capacity
* Understands the national Maths curriculum (KS3 & KS4)
* Communicates effectively and can build positive relationships with students
* QTS is preferred but not essential
