Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner looking to make a real difference in children’s first steps in education? Teaching Personnel is working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Reading who are seeking dedicated Early Years professionals to join their teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within EYFS settings where you can help shape young learners’ development during the most important stage of their education.
The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children within Nursery and Reception classes. You will help create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence and confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
* Assisting with phonics, early maths and communication development
* Leading small group activities and structured play sessions
* Observing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
You may be required to support pupils with additional needs, ensuring every child has equal opportunity to thrive.

The Ideal Candidate
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
* Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
* Patient, caring and proactive approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
