Join to apply for the Flexible Residential Support Worker role at Calderdale Council. Based in Calderdale Residential Service (3 Bed Maximum) to provide care and support to Children and Young People aged 8-18. Role may include weekend work and flexible shift patterns based on rota needs.

Responsibilities
* Build relationships with Children and Young People
* Keep young people safe and make informed decisions for safeguarding
* Ensure Children and Young People\'s needs are holistically met
* Support Children and Young People to make informed decisions about their lives
* Respond swiftly to the needs of Children and Young People
* Undertake administrative tasks using IT
* Compose reports for and on behalf of Children and Young People
* Manage and overcome challenging situations
* Work in a team consistently towards a common goal
* Commit to Mandatory, Formal and Informal Learning
* Build relationships with young people and connect to their needs so they feel listened to and understood
* Be motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and have a sincere ambition for Children & Young People, Self & Colleagues to thrive
Requirements
* Must have a UK driving licence and hold a Category B Licence for at least 2 years
* Level 3/4 qualification in Children, Young People and Families Practitioner, or willingness to work towards and achieve within 2 years of employment
* Ability to role model positive parenting behaviours, form relationships with Young People, and advocate with professionals on behalf of the young person
