Accommodation Manager wanted for an exciting opportunity
Location: Oxfordshire
Length: Permanent
Hours: hours per week
Salary: £43,742 per annum
Responsibilities:
1. Providing advice and guidance to prospective and existing staff covering a variety of accommodation issues including allocations, accommodation options, rent arrears and contractual issues, making referrals where appropriate
2. Focusing on all accommodation management to maximise accommodation efficiency, availability and accessibility
3. Conduct regular reviews of workload, set objectives and review performance by undertaking regular 1:1 meetings along with annual appraisals for the Accommodation Administrator
4. Work closely on any strategic residential projects involving other agencies and public sector organisations
5. Ensure repairs and maintenance is carried out in a timely manner, communicating with any affected tenants
6. Evaluate levels of service against standards and be aware of legislation that may have an operational or financial impact
7. Look after budgets for the accommodation and third party housing provider cost centres, production and monitoring of budget reports
8. Interpret and implement housing legislation and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
9. Investigate and respond to tenant complaints
10. Undertake financial and other audit checks monthly
11. Inspect properties both prior to, during and at the end of tenancy agreements
Requirements :
12. You must have at least 2 years’ experience in property management or an Estates role
13. Extensive knowledge of landlord and tenant functions, including leases and contract management
14. You must be able to get between sites in the Oxfordshire area
