THE ROLE:

To help us lead the future of commercial aircraft modification in Boeing EASA Modifications, we are seeking applicants for a Junior Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineerto join our rapidly expanding, best-in-class team. The successful candidate will support the certification of large aircraft modifications for our global airline partners to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company's Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

This role is based at our BGS EASA Modifications site in Frimley, UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and working with the global engineering services team, across multiple time-zones in order to identify requirements and their associated solutions for active and upcoming project

Contribute to design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, and address certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical /avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modification- s
Support certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement- s
Compile engineering documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness including:
Wiring diagram- - s
Wire routing installation drawings, and harness fabrication drawing- s
Service Bulletins / accomplishment instruction- s
Aircraft and component manual ICA supplements including wiring diagram manuals, system schematic manuals and EWIS assessment- s
Compile certification documents to demonstrate compliance with relevant electrical systems related airworthiness requirements including:
Electrical load analysis document- - s
Test plans and report- s
Compliance Statement- s
System Safety, Equipment Qualification and EWIS document- s
Compliance checklist- s
Certification programme- s
Act as Boeing representative during customer milestone meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects. Provide additional on-site support to assist the customers' during the embodiment phase of the projec- t

This role will require occasional national and/or international travel to visit teammates, customers and subcontractors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree within Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineerin

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (or equivalent) is preferre

Ability to demonstrate a basic working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the electrical/avionics discipline- )
Knowledge and experience of aircraft interior modification programmes is advantageou- s
A high level of attention to detail and professional integrit- y
Ability to efficiently and effectively work on multiple programmes with varying level of requirement- s
Ability to prioritise workloads and show flexibility to changing situations / demand- s
Ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers to embody the core values of the business: Honesty, Integrity and Transparenc- y
